Position -- Rules
Aim
The aim of this game is simply to get two of your pieces to the other side of the board.
Equipment
You will need :
-
1 Printed Board
- This should be a single A4 page
- The printer file contains 4 boards
-
12 counters
- 6 counters for each player
Setting Up the Game
Place the board lengthways between the two players.
Both players place all of their counters, 1 in each space, on the row that is closest to them.
How to play
Players take turns to move 1 piece according to the following rules.
- If possible, you must move it exactly the number of spaces marked on the start space.
- If it reaches the edge of the board, stop at the edge.
- You must move it in one of the four orthogonal directions (N,S,E,W).
- If it lands on an opponents piece, capture it and remove it from the board.
- You may not land it on your own pieces
- You may move it over other pieces.
'6' is a special space. If you move a piece over a '6' you may change direction on that 6, again to any orthogonal direction, even back the way it came.
Ending the Game
If at the end of your turn, you have 2 pieces on your opponents start row, you win.
Or
If you take all but 1 of your opponents pieces, you win.
